If you're looking for the best iPad Air 5 prices, this is the place to be! This page will feature the very best deals on the iPad Air 5 with live widgets linking you directly to retailers, wherever you're based. The latest iPad Air 5th gen was released in 2022 so it's still relatively new, but we're already seeing some fantastic deals on this sleek tablet.

Price wise, the iPad Air 5 has a starting price of $599/£649. This is (unfortunately) a considerable mark up from the original retail price of $599/£569 due to rising production and living costs, but luckily we're seeing frequent deals popping up here and there. One of the best prices we've seen was $519 during the Amazon Prime Early Access Sale, and our live widgets will pull in the best current prices wherever you're based.

The iPad Air is a more slim-line version of the larger iPads. It features the powerful M1 chip and an improved 8-core GPU, as well as a stunning 3.8 million pixels, a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina screen, ultra-fast 5G connectivity and a front camera with Centre Stage for video conferencing. Apple says it's 60 per cent faster than its previous 2020 iPad Air, and considering it's notably cheaper than the iPad Pro what's not to love?

The starting iPad Air 5 price is $599/£649 for the Wi-Fi configured tablet with 64GB of storage. Wi-fi with cellular models start at $749/£719. These days 64GB of storage isn't exactly generous, although it might do if you use cloud storage. But anyone handling a lot of media will probably want to opt for the 256GB configuration, which is priced at $749/£819 for the wi-fi version and $899/£869 for the wi-fi and 5G cellular version.

Which is the best iPad Air to buy?

The 2020 4th gen iPad Air is still widely available and is coming in for more discounts, but for our money, the new 5th-generation iPad Air (2022) is a worthwhile upgrade. It doesn't offer a big upgrade in terms of design, but it has the same M1 processor as the 2021 iPad Pros for superb performance.

With a stunning 10.9in 1640 x 2360 Liquid Retina IPS LCD screen with a wide colour gamut, great speakers and very reasonable battery life, it's almost something of an iPad Pro lite at a more affordable price – just. It also supports the 2nd gen Apple Pencil, sports a 12 MP, f/1.8 dual pixel main camera and a 12 MP f/2.4 ultrawide selfie camera and comes in five colour options.
