Have you ever wondered what to do with that old bowling ball that is in your closet and hasn’t seen the light of day for over a decade? Well, take a look at this article from the Press Democrat
(http://guerneville.towns.pressdemocrat.com/2013/06/09/bowling-ball-gardens-never-need-watering/) that highlights a gentleman from Guerneville, California who has turned old bowling balls into garden art! It’s a great idea, and brings to mind the many projects that we have worked on that reuse household items in the yard for art! With either our creativity or a clients’ desire to reuse that spatula, broom, bookcase, etc., we have done a lot of reuse projects!
If you have a lot of “stuff” in the house, and maybe want a bit more room, we might be able to help you figure out if any of the “stuff” can be reused as garden art. We can also point you in the right direction if you want to sell it or give it away. There are so many resources these days with the reuse of junk being more and more creative. We have seen scrap metal be turned into beautiful pieces of art, we have seen smashed pottery be turned into beautiful softscaping or walkways. There is so much that you can do!
We have a few local salvage yards that are great places to take your “stuff” or to go shopping for the elements of your next masterpiece!
